Dear Readers,
Someone asked me a familiar question recently: "Where do you see yourself in five years?"
It's the kind of question I've answered countless times. Usually, I can put together something sensible about work, family, financial stability, and the things I'd like to accomplish.
But this time, I found myself hesitating. Not because I didn't have ambitions, but because I realized how many of my answers were things I'd been repeating for years without seriously reconsidering them.
We spend so much time working toward the future that we rarely stop to ask whether the future we're imagining still reflects what we actually want.
A goal can make perfect sense when you first choose it. But circumstances change, people change, and sometimes the direction that once felt obvious becomes less certain.
I don't think there's anything wrong with that. What concerns me more is how easily we continue following an old plan simply because we've already invested so much time in it.
That's why I think it's worth occasionally examining the assumptions behind our decisions. Not necessarily to change everything, but to make sure we're still moving toward something that matters to us.
A Personal Reading That Might Make You Think Twice [Ad]
Have you ever wondered why certain questions about your life seem to return at unexpected moments? Eastern Star Reading offers a personalized reading experience for people curious about their own path and the possibilities ahead. It's an opportunity to explore an interpretation centered on you, rather than another general prediction meant for everyone.
Sometimes a fresh perspective begins with a question you've been carrying for a while.
If you've been thinking about your next chapter, you might find the personalized approach interesting. I'd suggest exploring how the reading works and deciding whether the experience offers the kind of reflection you're looking for.
You don't have to accept every interpretation to find value in considering a different point of view.
I still haven't settled on a perfect answer to that five-year question.
But I'm beginning to think a thoughtful answer matters more than a confident one.
