I Stopped Arguing With The Question That Kept Finding Me

Dear Readers,
Something small kept happening on my walks this month. I would leave the house with a question on my mind, and somewhere along the way, without deciding to, I would start noticing things that seemed to answer it. A phrase on a shop window. A conversation at the next table. Once is nothing. Three times and you start paying attention.
I don't think the world is conspiring to send me messages. I think attention works like a tuning fork. When a question matters to you, it hums quietly in the background, and anything with the same frequency suddenly sounds louder. The signs were always there. You only hear them when something in you is listening.
The tricky part is that listening feels unserious. We are taught to trust spreadsheets over hunches, as if the quiet pull toward one path were not also information. But some of the best turns in my life began as a feeling I could not fully explain, a curiosity that refused to leave until I followed it somewhere.
So here is my practice lately. When the same question keeps finding me, I stop arguing with it and get curious about it instead. Not obeying it. Not dismissing it. Just sitting with it the way you would sit with an old friend who knows you too well. Which is why something I came across recently caught my attention in a way I did not expect.
